I never would have thought the ones lost to the sand would return. Let alone to where I currently reside. It was no coincidence that they showed themselves on that particular day in Meadowmere. As for this “Guardian,” they speak so highly of, it makes me wonder if someone new walks this path. They honored me openly and said they received letters to begin this journey. “The Guardian is the Guardian”, they proclaimed when asked who this guardian was. Do they not know Their name? Or are the blind leading the blind? This indeed concerns me… They wanted me to return to “Sanctuary” with them, but I declined. Their outspoken nature, raised suspicion among the citizens of Meadowmere. Without knowing who this “Guardian” is, I kept to the side. Watching, gathering information as I please, speaking only to witness the action of morals.
I never am the one to speak openly about Their name, just as chaos ensued from the “Guardian’s” followers. Chaos would surely ensue me, but I would be alone and easily overtaken. So I continue to keep my mouth shut, revealing only with equal minds. Which, I believe I have found someone with an equal mind and shared parts of my past and similar hatred towards what we both share. I have an ally, a true ally, someone who couldn’t be swayed by coin, unlike most of the population of Meadowmere.
It seems an expedition is what the citizens of Meadowmere follow now, to Duchy Velazquez, Gandra, and northern of the city… Back home… It has been many years. Possibly breathing and stepping in those halls will give me the strength I need. Truly I believe they will not find anything, but they might. Either way, I’ll have to prepare myself for what they might uncover.
As for the city itself, I was guaranteed that nothing would happen to me. I hold them to their word. Even if they might fail, I’m sure he still lives there and hasn’t forgotten me… Has he?
