Dishonor (a letter to Marcus)

This letter could be found slipped underneath the door of the tent of his employer, but the figure would have slipped away if Marcus would have tried to find the sender of the letter.

“Marcus,

I must apologize to you for stepping back when I should have protected you, and I understand if I am no longer under your employ after the events of the other day. I left your side and put both your life and the life of my sister in jeopardy. I can only hope that in the future events I can prove my worth to you and the people of Meadowmere. Forgive my indecision, but my blade will be silent no more. I need to regain the honor I have lost. I can only hope you understand and will forgive me.
