Verrin stared at the mostly full cup of Vertigrog that seemed to be lasting a lot longer than he thought it would.

“So if you feel that strongly about it, why don’t you confront him about it?” Grimm bluntly asked
“And say what? When your commanding officer returns you will be in big trouble? I would sound like a mother chastising her young”
“But for the crimes he has committed, someone should stand up to him. Marcus is MIA. Gladius is, well he’s Gladius”

Verrin lost himself in Grimm’s words, only being brought back by the clinking of glass as Grimm withdrew 2 shot glasses from his coat.

“Someone needs to take a shot” Grimm stated determinedly while sliding a small glass full of a stouter liquid in Verrin’s direction. Motioning him to join as he drinks from another, “For all the poor unknown meals that may never know true justice.”

When he finally recovered from the coughing fit brought on from the burn in his throat Verrin looked to Grimm, only finding the bottle sitting in front of him with the empty shot glass next to it.
