[05.02.2025] My first visit outside the Citadel will be an experience. I am fortunate enough to have Captain Roenath accompany me. He is quite the gentleman and a great conversationalist. I admit, most of our conversations were not work related. Most of my life has been all work, so outside that realm it was nice.
Our journey takes us to a thriving town, Meadowmere, and they have certainly made a name for themselves. Unfortunately, there are a list of charges against them. Now, if I can just talk with the correct people I am sure I can reduce these charges. However, some of these charges are concerning and if I cannot find cause to negate them, Meadowmere will have to pay the consequences. After the charges were read, which Meadowmere was very defensive of, there were three individuals that were spoken to immediately: Sparrow, Jack, and Hermes. Jack and Hermes were incredibly forthcoming with information; Sparrow, however, dodged the truth when answering my questions. I am sure he will eventually tell all, maybe not now, but later.
[05.03.2025] Report filings and corrections
[05.04.2025] Before leaving Meadowmere, I was able to speak with Willow. Her reports have always been thorough and informative. I am going to release Meadowmere from house arrest. I believe the citizens will be able to control themselves if they do travel across Astrel.
It was such a pleasure to have Captain Roenath with me as I had my first field report and experience. As we traveled just outside Meadowmere district limits, it started off as a whisper. Hungry. Hungry! Hungry. The caravan stopped abruptly. Clawing. Gnawing. Yelling and screaming! The entire caravan was flipped on its side. I was pulled from the breaking box by Captain Roenath and with a scream of rage, he told me to run, so I did; I ran back to Meadowmere. It seems the horde visited on their own accord, because the wall of bodies was as jarring as me climbing my way up and over. I am learned, I am knowledgeable. I am inexperienced in this world outside of my office. Walls have been my safety. Paperwork, books, and reports have been my comfort. This horde is terrifying.
I reached Meadowmere and ordered them to bring back Captain Roenath. I do hope he is ok. I feel so guilty by leaving him behind. He needs to be ok. He needs to be alive. When Captain Roenath is brought back safely, I will see that many charges against Meadowmere will be cleared. Once we are out of Meadowmere, I will have to work diligently to get my paperwork in order and travel across Astrel. For now, I am in Meadowmere until further notice, unless there is another way for me to leave this town.-
