Made it back ta home.

Na more o’ ta others on me tail this time. Dan’t know if there’s more ta follow from the likes o’ them, dan’t much care.

Took time instead ta polish me new weapons. Set to work with me tools and the forge ta make a proper haft and cap to me new spear, polished dat new sword an throwing axe, an got everthin ready.

Then set ta practice.

Ta axe came natural, same in some ways wit ta sword. Sword had a funny kind of forward bend so’s it swings LIKE an axe. It feels.. right ta me.

Ta spear.. she’s beautiful, an even fun ta wield, but she’s not so natural.

There’s legends, where I’m from, of a powerful spear, ta Claimh Soleil, what’s been called ta “spear o’ ta sun”.

Those legends say ta spear was wielded by many heroes o’ me lands.. including “Lugh o’ ta Long Arms”

Him, an all ta’ rest are o’ ta “Tuatha de Danaan”, ta “people o’ ta mounds”, an those are, well, not ta be trusted, yet very much gods.. ta be revered.

Ta elves o’ this land, they remind me o’ them. Fer all I know, they may be one an’ ta same..

I suppose there’s a part of me that loves ta spear, but don’t “trust” it like.. Much like ta Tuatha, or ta Elves.

Still, all that work on ta spear, an she sure do shine in ta sun!
