My Dearest Elleas,

I hope this message reaches you and your students quickly and without difficulties.

I fear the Summit may have done more harm than good. The people of Meadowmere and the surrounding area are unique and impetuous, but they have a noble sense of justice. They should be commended for working within the system to make changes for the people of Astrel. But, De Jardin is a stubborn house and I believe they are seeking for more power than they deserve and can actually manage.

I am sure you have heard of the war declared by the De Jardin. House Royce is prepared to defend their land and welcome the refugees from De Jardin lands. But I am far more concerned about how members of The Order have been treated. I worry about you and the students of Hexhaven. I have not heard anything about the academy from any of the refugees coming to our lands to escape the horrendous treatment from the De Jardin.

I have spoken with members of House Royce and Chamberlain Bolin to let them know that I must travel to help my family and Hexhaven Academy. I will first travel to Nairn to check on my parents. House Renaux and House Lyon may still have the good sense to see that many of the De Jardin nobles are abusing their people. They may take longer to get involved in the war, so I may have some time to get my parents out of harm’s way. We may even be able to sway some of them to join the Royce side.

After I know my parents are safe, I will make my way to Hexhaven. I will do what I can to help you and your students navigate this delicate situation. I will be traveling undercover as a parent wanting to pick up their students from the academy. Hopefully, my time growing up in De Jardin lands will help me convince anyone with too many questions.

I will see you as soon as I am able. Until then, please be clever and safe. You of all people know how to maneuver through Hexhaven. And when in doubt, remember that Resourceful Queen Helga always provides.
