Tannas stands next to a horse drawn cart, dazed in passive thought while packing…
Days have passed and the thought of surviving grand battles are barely behind us. Healers of all sorts have tended to the wounded and dying on both sides. Word has begun to spread of the deeds done here and not everyone is pleased with the outcome. Dissidents of the DeJardin who’s ideals don’t exactly align with the changes coming, flee for the hills in small bands. It could be trouble later on.
Time to rebuild. Many of the citizens of Haven that hid during the conflict rejoin thier families, friends and neighbors. Crops and clean water are shared as much as heroic stories and the tales of woe. There is still much to do.
It may be weeks before we can return to Meadowmere. The changing of leadership comes with many trials. Those in certain positions of power, don’t want to lose that power. Things have been set in motion and I fear this adventure isn’t over.
*dark clouds fill the mind of Tannas… two blue flames converge to a single point in the muddled grey… a smoky voice can be heard from only he…
“You are not ready, keep your sword so. It is coming and many may be lost. Venture far and suffer because you must. Come back stronger though it may not be enough. Keep your sword ready. Remember your name.”
The darkened haze leaves him as fast as it came. The sound of birds fill the wind. Tannas blinks trying to recall the thin moment past but it is gone. His hand grips tight his sword. Close. Tannas looks over his shoulder in suspension of moving darkness. Nothing there. We’re not out of the woods yet.
