An aged piece of parchment exchanges hands, traveling first by messenger on foot, then by carrier and horse, and making the finally leg of the journey secured to the ankle of a bird. The edges had seen better days from their weeks traversing the lands and handlers(who treated it with contrasting levels of care), but the body of the paper was unscathed and easily legible. It was sealed with wax and stamped with the symbol of the skull of a likely large and vicious looking canine.

“Greetings House Chambers, I Bruzog Shatter-spine headman of the town of Meadowmere wish you well. I hope the cattle we sent are fairing well, I know the wake of the warfare left most all involved reeling in one way or another. I also wish to extend my thanks for keeping our arrangement, and would be happy to receive news of your welfare and ideally prosperity with the new peace holding.”

“While myself and many of my people have been traveling abroad recently, it has been a stark reminder of our unique nature and position in this world. We are both of uncommon kinds, and I am reminded of the need and desire for reliable and amicable allies. Which brings me to my point.”

“It is my sincere wish to make a lasting bond and friendship between our two communities, and in that light extend a lasting welcome to the members of your House and your people. Despite our travels, I would very much like to invite you to visit Meadowmere after I return from my tour of the continent and foreign shores. Now that the kingdom is without civil dispute I think you will find the journey and venue more enjoyable.”

“With respect and gratitude, your friend and ally, Koruk(Magistrate/Chieftain/Mayor) Bruzog Shatter-spine.”

The letter ends with the scrawled red Warg skull of Clan Shatter-spine, and Orcish lettering presumably marking out his name in the form of a heavy handed signature.
