A sleepless night greets the new day. Our very thoughts can be attacked. Tully Eye can take the shape of any of us. The Hunter King has released his hounds. Finally, the Fey presence I’ve been feeling is a creature named the Many Eyed Wanderer, motives unknown.
This is a day for chaos.
The wanderer keeps blinking people away to its lair, luckily all have returned.
Kebbie’s cooking is doing it’s best at keeping spirits up. But the morning reveals guards claiming to be with House Jerringan escorting Meat to who knows where. They wouldn’t treat with us and we couldn’t let a friend be taken away like that so we fought for him and won. Who knows the consequences to that…
The afternoon is full of misunderstandings as people think they are Tully Eye, or everyone around them is, or fear no consequences, or get lost in the town and come to realizing their identity was taken, and even petty thieves have been popping up. I’m ashamed to have believed that Aikenn was Tully Eye for a bit. Then I was emboldened by no consequences to confront Malak on his attacks against me the previous night. I laid into him explaining how my family never hunted humans, we have had to fight off humans from trying to kill and capture us before, but I don’t let that color my opinions of all of them. I know I planted a seed, and I await an apology.
Burzog and I trained a bit with projectiles and deflection. The two of us bonded over missing our homes and told stories to help drive away the gloom. We were friends the moment we met last year but I’m thankful to say we’re becoming more like family. He has earned the honorary of Uncle.
We failed Poet as Tully Eye was pretending to be Larken. My heart still breaks that she was in his clutches.
The vile dark magic user finally appeared at the end of the day, having somehow captured Morpheus and summoned Shadow Beasts to do his bidding. In the throngs of battle, Kelora, Aikenn, Ariana, and I try to free Morpheus from his trap, our first attempts ended up felling the dream lord. Thankfully, Kelora had the idea of casting heal upon his broken form. Using the last of my healing magic, I cast and his presence returned! The company around gave of themselves as well and we revived him. He then helped destroy the shields of Tully Eye so we could take him a part bit by bit. Victory.
The next morning found us performing a ritual to bring healing to Poet’s mother’s vessel. Thank happenstance, it worked. “Can you feel the brand new day!”
A summit amongst the peoples of the land occurs and it’s decided that a larger talk of peace and problem solving with occur at a later date.
Then… people begin to leave. Rest is needed. Haven needs to restore. Other mysteries need solving. People have work elsewhere. And I… am still holding this scythe. Burzog is being sent on a mission but decides to stay a little in Haven with me. I see him seeing the scythe, sensing something there. Not wanting me to be alone as I try and piece my memories together. Memories of the man who gave it to me. Who’s people he stole me away to help. Of the fighting that happened.
Last night he found me in the woods, I don’t remember how I got there, but there was blood on me that wasn’t mine.
Chaos might not be done with me yet.
