Verrin’s journal: What have we done?

I’m at a loss for words right now.

We are going to a place that will chew us up and spit us out and we just got rid of our biggest source of knowledge on the isles for research?!?
Why would some of our best minds think this was a good plan? Where did we even send Grimm? Is he still alive? Am I an accessory to murder now?

I’m worried that without Grimm our chances of survival to the isles has slimmed more than our chances of surviving the isles themselves.

Everyone wants to run headfirst into every problem they meet, worst of the bunch is the military. Gladius was tasked to protect the people while we scouted ahead, then he gets kidnapped by a damn bird!

Bruzog is the elected leader of this group but he seems hesitate to lead. Meat seems well but from what I’ve heard is easily manipulated by others. Raine is confirmed to be eating people. Gladius is just looking for a fight everywhere.

I just hope I can find the luck to keep those I’ve formed friendships with safe.
