“The past few weeks have been brutally cold, but plentiful in harvest. The village I’ve taken residence with holds a hunt every year for three weeks. It seems that the deer population in this area inflated to a massive size every winter. I’ve volunteered my skills to the event in the hopes that the task will go smoothly. They plan for the hides to be processed into gloves this year. The added protection will surely help with hard tasks such as farming and construction. The meat will be preserved for the rest of the year for the townsfolk to use as need be. So far in the past two weeks we have harvested and processed 73 deer. A bountiful harvest to say the least. I worry that this will cut into the black cat’s hunting grounds. One week left to go… and I can’t help but feel something is off…”
