I have failed Kirin… I was not strong enough to keep her alive and keep Falix away from her. If I had even the slightest amount of medical experience she would be alive… Yet… I feel as though I did the right thing putting her through the portal. Who knows… maybe she found help on the other side…
I cannot stop thinking of my visions when I first met her. I am still not entirely convinced that she is dead. Her mortal body may be, but her spirit may manifest in another form… I cannot help but think of a Phoenix and how they rise from their ashes… three feathers shot out of the portal right after I put her body in and I think they are connected to her resurrection, but… something feels wrong… like I shouldn’t go that far… Is it the universe’s way of telling me she lived? I don’t know… for now I think I will try to forget about this failure with a few drinks and a decent rest…
Preferably without any ghosts to interrupt this time.
